The Quiet Room

Interiors fail when they become a list of finishes. This study is one room, one opening, and one pool of light.

A low teak seat. Linen. A brick pier the lamp can lean on. Terrazzo underfoot, because it stays cool and does not ask for attention. Beyond the opening, planting and water do the work that another piece of furniture would only imitate.

The same idea is on the studio table: a model, tracing paper, and a brass rule. The room should be decided there, not corrected after the walls exist.
